Topical clindamycin (Dalacin T lotion) may be used in localised Hidradenitis Suppurativa on dermatologist advice as per PCDS guideline. Not to be used with oral antibiotics. (Off-label use). (Decision date - May 2022).
2% vaginal cream (Dalacin) for the treatment of recurrent bacterial vaginosis, as a second line alternative option after treatment failure and or intolerance to metronidazole and dequalinium.
(Note: metronidazole (oral and vaginal gel) and dequalinum are cost effective choices ahead of clindamycin in the treatment of bacterial vaginosis). (Decision date - December 2016).
