Insulin glargine (Toujeo) high-strength 300units/ml
GREY after consultant/specialist recommendation (Decision date - August 2023):

for patients on insulin Degludec or

for patients being considered for insulin pump therapy or

for patients currently on high dose of insulin (>150units/day) who would otherwise have been started with Humulin R U-500 or degludec.
See SPS advice to support GLP-1 receptor agonist shortage. Switching from GLP-1 receptor agonists to insulin may be necessary. Prescribe by brand. Specialist should provide clear dosing instructions. (Decision date - August 2023).
