GREY: Aciclovir 5% Cream - can be purchased over the counter for treatment of minor self-limiting conditions such as cold-sores, self-care is encouraged.  See Derbyshire ICBs self-care policy.

GREY consultant/specialist recommendation: Eye ointment 3% - when ganciclovir is not suitable. (Decision date - Jun 2020)

GREEN: Oral tablets - to be used in line with the antimicrobial guidance. (Decision date - Nov 2017)
