Tablets

Elleste Solo- 1st line oestrogen only tablet. 1mg or 2mg

Zumenon- alternative if unable to obtain Elleste Solo. 1mg or 2mg

Transdermal Patches

 

Evorel- 24h patch (replace every 3-4 days) 25, 50, 75 or 100 microgram

Estraderm MX- alternative transdermal patch if unable to obtain Evorel

Patches are more expensive than oral preparations but may be suitable for patients with high risk of VTE (e.g. those with a BMI over 30 kg/m2). See local menopause management guideline.

Gel

Oestrogel 0.06%

Sandrena 500microg, 1mg
