Shared Care Guidelines are local policies to enable GPs to pick up the prescribing and monitoring of medicines/treatments in primary care in agreement with the initiating specialist. If you receive a request to prescribe in the absence of a shared care guideline which you feel is inappropriate please complete an inappropriate request form.
